The multi-talented Debra Wallace will be returning to the 2019 Philadelphia Writers’ Conference to teach a three-day workshop.
Debra had worked for years as a news reporter for daily, weekly and monthly print publications, when she started to combine her passion for writing with her love for the arts/entertainment. Over more than two decades, her work has been published in Parade.com, Family Circle, Cosmopolitan, Direct TV Guide, Philadelphia Style, Philadelphia Life, South Jersey, Orlando Family, digital publications, and more. She has contributed to two volumes of Chicken Soup for the Soul and has written extensively on autism, special needs parenting, and spreading acceptance for children with autism. Debra is a member of the American Theatre Critics Association, the Motion Picture Association of America and the American Society of Journalists and Authors.
Debra’s three day workshop will focus on magazine writing, and she’ll share the tricks and tips she has learned over a lifetime of writing.
The 2019 Philadelphia Writers’ Conference will be held on June 7 – 9, 2019 at the Wyndham Hotel at 4th and Arch Street in Old City Philadelphia. Registration for the conference will open in early 2019.

March 27, 2019 at 3:20 pmI am disappointed. Your new format is jarring to say the least. Everything is far too big; it’s almost like having someone breathing down your neck. Worse, where is the daily schedule of classes and bios of ALL the speakers? Dinners? Agents? Hours? Altogether too cute.

April 17, 2019 at 6:14 pmElwood, sorry to hear you’re unhappy. We work hard every year to put together a conference that works for everyone. I’m not sure if you checked out the registration site yet, but if not, you’ll find all of the class descriptions, workshop leader bios, and agents and editors information there.
