The PWC Board of Directors is happy to announce that essayist Ferida Wolf will be teaching a single-day feature at the 2019 Philadelphia Writers’ Conference.  This one-hour class will be called “Telling Our Stories” and will focus on helping writers develop their personal stories into essays that are interesting for publishers and readers.

Ferida is the author of three books of essays as well as 17 children’s books. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Christian Science Monitor, Moment Magazine, Midstream, and Women’s World among other periodicals. She is also a frequent contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series of books. Her blog, “Ferida’s Backyard,” looks at the details of nature, often from a neighborhood perspective. Her next children’s book, a mid-grade novel called RACHEL’S ROSES, will be out in Fall 2019 with Holiday House. Visit her website at for more about her and her work.

The 2019 Philadelphia Writers’ Conference will be held on June 7 – 9, 2019 at the Wyndham Hotel at 4th and Arch Street in Old City Philadelphia.  Registration for the conference will open in early 2019. Watch this space for additional announcements and information on registration, contests, and more!
