April has flown by on swift’s wings and May is fast approaching, and with the turning calendar are deadlines for critique submission, our annual manuscript contests, and the early bird deadline.

The most excellent Kerry Gans wrote an excellent piece a few weeks ago about the value of critiques. Conferees registered for the standard conference can submit up to three manuscripts to certain workshop leaders for review and critique. Critiques cost $10 for poetry and $20 for prose. Visit the Critique Page of our registration site for more details and to make your submission. The deadline for all critique request May 5, 2019.

Second Vice President and all-around renaissance lady Lisa Lutwyche introduced some of our contests, including our Annual Manuscript Contest. This year we’re offering three contests: Poetry, Non-Fiction and Fiction. You’ll find submission requirements on the Contest page of our registration site. The Annual Manuscript contest deadline is also May 5, 2019.

Finally, early bird pricing ends on May 11th, so register now to secure your $50 early bird discount!
