The Philadelphia Writers’ Conference is pleased to offer annual scholarships to conferees who are experiencing hardship and are unable to pay. These Memorial Scholarships are issued in honor of three of the PWC founders:
Florence J. Kerigan
A Memorial Scholarship pays for the cost of standard tuition, including the three-day workshops, morning and afternoon features, evening raps, open mic, and access to our Agent & Editor pitch sessions. In addition, scholarship recipients may submit entries for our annual manuscript contest as well as our ‘words on the wall’ contest held during the conference.
Additional items, such as the dinner events, master classes, and critique requests are not included.
To apply for a Memorial Scholarship, visit our submittable site.
Applications must be received by March 31, 2019.
Decisions for the recipients of these scholarships will be made by the scholarship committee. Winners will be announced by April 15, 2019.
