The PWC Board of Director’s is happy to announce that we’ve scheduled our 71st Annual Philadelphia Writers’ Conference to begin Friday, June 7th at 9:30 AM! Once again, the conference will be held at the historic Old City Philadelphia Wyndham Hotel located at 4th & Arch Street. The conference will be held over three days, and close with our contest awards ceremony on Sunday, June 9th at 5:00 PM.
Of course, there’s still lots to do, workshops to set up, events to plan. The PWC board will be working tirelessly over the next nine months to deliver an unforgettable experience that will that will exemplify our ongoing mission of “bringing writers together for instruction, counsel, fellowship, and the exchange of ideas.”
Registration and our annual manuscript contest will open early next year. And remember, we offer deep discounts to students, writers groups and senior organizations, as well as three Memorial Scholarships that cover the cost of an entire conference. We also are always looking to honor people and organizations that provide exemplary support to the Philadelphia writing community, so if you have someone you think deserves honoring, nominate them.
Be sure to watch this space for additional announcements on workshop leaders, speakers, and the exciting new changes and events we’ll be launching in 2019. And your input is always welcome…if you have suggestions for what you’d like to see in 2019 or beyond, submit them to our survey site!
Looking forward to seeing you in 2019! Much more to come!
